Port Republic Road Corridor Traffic Study

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Metropolitan Planning Organization (HRMPO) and the City of Harrisonburg Department of Public Works held a public meeting for the Port Republic Road Corridor Study
on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm in the Harrisonburg City Council Chambers, 409 South Main Street.
Members of the public learned about the study and provided input. 


The study is conducting an operational and safety analysis of the Port Republic Road corridor between South Main Street and Devon Lane in Harrisonburg. The study objectives are to reduce travel time, decrease congestion, and improve safety. Study recommendations presented at the meeting will be used to guide future transportation improvements in the area.
